Nadine Aber, born 1998 in Münster, works as a documentary and portrait photographer. In 2021 she finished her bachelor's degree at the Münster School of Design, and also had been a guest student at the Folkwang University of Arts and FH Dortmund in the photography and film department. Her interest in documentary work increased when she visited her parents’ hometown Kabul for the first time in 2019. Her work is a response to the aggressive and sensationalist media portrayal of the militarized landscape of Afghanistan. With a soft and incisive approach, her photographs study and question the mundanity and tender triviality hidden in the country's everyday life.
